In 2012, Ryoichi Nakamura established the coffee specialty store Mameporepore in his hometown of Okinawa.
"Mameporepore" means "slow living" in the local Ethiopian language, which is significant for two reasons.
First, Mr. Nakamura believes that the origin of coffee is Ethiopia.
Second, drinking coffee should be a leisurely and slow enjoyment.
Mameporepore advocates that coffee is a gift of nature.
To maximize the unique characteristics and ideas of each coffee bean's growing environment and its producer,
they continually refine their roasting techniques.
With gratitude, they strive to create coffee that brings surprises and touches the heart,
hoping that their coffee will bring smiles to customers' daily lives and share joy.
